L’album intitulé Spirit de Leona Lewis, gagnante la troisième édition de la Nouvelle Star anglaise (The X Factor), est un véritable succès. Elle a charmé tout le Royaume-Uni par sa voie de velours, et son succès n’est certainement qu’un début… et s’exporte maintenant aux Etats-Unis avec le même engouement.
Son premier single “A Moment comme This”, sorti le 20 décembre 2006, juste après sa victoire dans l’émission de télé-réalité, a battu un record de téléchargement en ligne avec près de 50 000 téléchargements en 30 minutes.
